Inside Sept's 5.54% CPI Inflation Spike: Onion Prices Double; Ginger, Garlic Lead Food Basket

India's retail inflation rose to 5.54% in September from 4.83% in August, while food inflation accelerated to 7.74%. Onion inflation surged to 108.09%, with ginger, garlic and lemon also recording sharp year-on-year price increases.
